Pinacoteca Querini Stampalia

The Pinacoteca Querini Stampalia museum is hosted on the second floor of the Palazzo Querini Stampalia, in what were once the rooms of Count Giovanni.

The art gallery has more than 400 paintings belonging to the Venetian, Italian and Flemish schools, commissioned or bought by the Querini Stampalia family from the 17th Century onwards.
Works include those by Giovanni Bellini, Lorenzo Credi, Jacopo Palma il Vecchio, Bernardo Strozzi, Giambattista Tiepolo and Pietro Longhi. A collection of 67 paintings by Gabriel Bella gives us an insight into typical moments of Venetian life in the 18th Century.

In addition to the paintings, the museum also contains drawings, prints, items of furniture from the 18th and 19th Centuries, valuable Sevres porcelain and sculptures by Antonio Canova and Medardo Rosso. The collection has been added to over the years with contemporary art bought by the Foundation that now runs the museum, plus donations by artists, private individuals and collectors.
